Sociomedia is a song about the almost sickening fascination some people have with social media:
the race for popularity and the vacuous feelings this can create by encouraging others to ‘be themselves’, yet craving the sense of belonging and instilling ‘fear of missing out’.
At its extreme, it’s how social media has brought the darker images and aspects of war, violence and formerly taboo matter not just to our door but to our finger tips.
It’s a song about control and manipulation, a song that talks about the hunger and almost greed we all have for information and experience; the quick fix pseudo-satisfaction of viral imagery and the darkness that lies therein...

'Sociomedia' features the Guitar work of Chris Taylor (ex Warfare) and Backing Vocals from Iman Ahmed (solo artist and ex-bassit of all female band Hawxx).
This version appears on UK Thrashers charity album ‘Moshin' The Roof On! – Volume 2’.
